Amie is responsible for creating headlines that grab the attention of the media, consumers and other online influencers.
With over a decade of public relations experience, Amie’s skills range from strategic program development to the hands-on tactical execution of integrated practices including media relations and special events. Her core areas of focus include event development, experiential marketing, promotions and collaborative marketing partnerships/sponsorships. She also has a strong traditional PR and media relations background.
With the explosion of social media, Amie has expanded her public relations expertise to include online social media efforts. From Facebook to Twitter to blogger relations, she’s worked to develop sound social media strategies that connect with consumers.
Prior to joining Smith Brothers, Amie has held positions at Engauge Communications, GNC, Ketchum and Burson-Marsteller.
Amie has led public relations, social media relations and non-traditional marketing efforts for major brands, such as Nestlé Dreyer’s, Del Monte Foods, Point Park University, Airborne Health Formula, ZonePerfect Nutrition Bars, DAD’S Pet Care, Kraft, Roomful Express Furniture, The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh and NGK Spark Plugs. In 2007, the Public Relations Society of America presented her with the Renaissance Rising Star Award, which recognizes outstanding potential in the PR field.
Amie received her BA in Communications from Allegheny College.
