With a voracious appetite for TV, magazines and radio, Judy’s other title could be “Professional Surfer.”
Judy is an accomplished media director with more than 20 years of marketing and communications experience.
Judy spent 15 years at Ketchum Advertising, rising to the level of SVP/Media Director. Her accounts included Heinz, PNC, and PPG. After that, Judy joined Jerry, becoming the SVP/Media Director at Della Femina McNamee, where she managed accounts such as Alcoa, Pittsburgh Brewing Company and Stouffers.
Then Judy tried her hand on the client side, becoming VP of Marketing Services for Thrift Drug. While there, she managed all communications programs for 1,800 stores in 17 states.
But Judy was not long for the dark side. Prior to joining Smith Brothers, Judy served as the Chief Media Officer at Ten United, doing stellar work on she also did stellar work for American Eagle Outfitters, Anheuser-Busch, DAD’s Pet Care, Pert Plus, Time Warner and ZonePerfect.
Her work on the Airborne campaign won Mediaweek Magazine’s 2006 Nontraditional Media Plan of the Year Award.
Judy holds a B.A. in Journalism and Communications from Point Park University in Pittsburgh and an MBA from the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
She received the Pittsburgh Radio and Television Club’s Outstanding Achievement Award in Advertising, was named Advertising Agency Executive of the Year by the Pittsburgh chapter of the Business/Professional Advertising Association, and was recognized nationally as one of Adweek magazine’s 40 Under 40.
