Associate Social Media & PR Strategist

Job Description

The Associate Social Media & PR Manager will work as part of a team to deliver social media content of behalf of SBA’s clients. The candidate must have knowledge of social platforms, influencer programs, public relations, content marketing, and social media tools. This position directly manages the social communities for multiple brands on the agency’s roster. The Associate Social Media & PR Manager will post content, monitor feeds, and respond to consumer comments, posts, and issues. This person will work directly in social platforms and/or utilize tools to facilitate content distribution (e.g., Sprinklr, Spredfast). The Associate Social Media & PR Manger will also compile statistics, develop reports, and identify trending topics to inform future campaigns. This person will participate in the creative process and will manage the calendar and workflow to ensure all content is delivered, approved and trafficked on time.

Reports to: Director of Social Media and PR


  • Execute social media campaigns including content development, trafficking and posting on social platforms
  • Carry out paid media implementation on social media platforms (assign budgets, segment placements, etc)
  • Develop editorial content for social media platforms
  • Monitor social media platforms including responding and escalating issues appropriately
  • Conduct daily and monthly monitoring and reporting that highlights the impact of social media campaigns on the overall marketing efforts for clients
  • Pull analytics from social media platforms and build reports. Where possible, recommend optimization tactics and response plans
  • Execute PR programs including media materials development (press release, key messages, media lists, etc.); media outreach; and program management
  • Conduct industry, competitive and trend research to support planning and program development
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 1-3 years of experience in the social media or PR field (agency experience a plus)
  • Proficiency with platform admin and analytics tools
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills
  • Solid organizational and client management skills
  • Proactive, self-starter that can have an immediate positive impact
  • Familiarity with social listening/monitoring software (or similar products) a plus
